The Management Collaborative for Religious (MCR) is hiring a full-time Bookkeeper to help support the financial and accounting activities of four Catholic women’s religious congregations. This position will report to the Finance Director and will perform a variety of accounting support functions including accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliations. The Bookkeeper position will work mainly out of the offices of the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh, located north of Pittsburgh in Bakerstown (3526 Bakerstown Road, Bakerstown, PA 15007). There will also be occasional travel to the other Pittsburgh locations served by MCR, however, much of work can be handled remotely from Bakerstown. Core Functions and Responsibilities • Manage G/L transactions and prepare the monthly financials for review • Verify timecards and process payroll • Vendor payments and invoice filing • Credit card receipt coding and tracking • Account reconciliations as needed • Prepare deposits and misc receipts, record cash activity • Assist with supplying information for the annual review or audit process • Health insurance management, particularly Medicare and Medicaid Qualifications and Experiences • Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent. Summary of Job: The Pastoral Associate for Family and Young Adult Ministries is responsible for overseeing Archangel Gabriel Parish’s ministerial efforts directly relating to adolescents (middle schoolers and high schoolers) young adults (those in their 20s and 30s), and families (those with children under 18). Subsequently, the Pastoral Associate is responsible for designing, organizing, and implementing ministries that support the human and spiritual formation of adolescents, young adults, and families with young children of the parish as disciples of Jesus Christ and as valued members of our faith community. Working primarily with volunteer teams [self-identified and recruited] the Pastoral Associate is to provide opportunities for catechesis, retreats, missionary outreach, service, growth in social justice, and socialization. Youth ministry, young adult ministry, and young family ministry are integral parts of the parish’s effort to lead all to know, call them to, and support them in their next step in following Jesus.
