Almost all students’ tuition rates are substantially less than the cost per student due to subsidies from Catholic parishes. Twenty-five percent of Catholic school students receive additional financial aid, further reducing their already subsidized rate. See the available resources below.
The Tuition Aid Application Process for 2025-2026
Aid applications for the 2025-2026 school year will again be processed by FACTS Management. The application will open in January 2025 with an earlier date for incoming 9th grade families. Families applying for tuition aid in Catholic schools within the Diocese of Pittsburgh may do so by using the online link below.
Families are asked to log on and apply by March 17, 2025.
The Bishop’s Education Fund provides tuition assistance to Catholic families attending Catholic schools within the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Other Tuition Aid Funds (EITC and OSTC)
Other grants for eligible families include funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. Maximum income amounts are below and are the same for both programs. In addition to the maximum income amounts, grants from OSTC funds require children to be assigned to an under-performing public school as defined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Eligibility will be assessed for both programs through the FACTS application process.
Please use the chart below to determine whether your family qualifies for the EITC and OSTC programs. Families exceeding these maximum income amounts, while not excluded from applying for assistance from the Bishop’s Education Fund, are unlikely to demonstrate enough financial need to qualify for a grant.
