Celebrate the Ordination to the Priesthood on Saturday, June 27
On Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., Deacon Brian Myler, Deacon Erik Pintar, Deacon Matt Selzer, Deacon Loc Tran, and Deacon Nick Wytiaz will be ordained to the priesthood at Saint Paul Cathedral.
Please pray for these men as they begin their priestly ministry. All are invited to come and celebrate this joyous day.

Brian Myler
Brian Myler graduated from Penn Hills High School in 2004. He attended Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 2008. In 2010, Brian went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated in 2013, with a master’s degree in business administration. After graduation, Brian was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a materials engineer. In the fall of 2019, Brian was accepted into the priestly formation program. After completing his pre-theology studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Franciscan University of Steubenville, Brian was assigned to Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, PA, to begin theological studies. Following his second year of theology Brian was assigned to Sant Aidan Parish, Wexford, PA, for his Pastoral Year assignment. In the fall of 2024, he returned to Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, to begin his third year of theological studies. Brian was ordained to the diaconate on June 7, 2025, and assigned to Saint Aidan Parish. He returned to Saint Vincent Seminary to begin his fourth and final year of theological studies in the fall of 2025.
Erik Pintar
Erik Pintar graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an additional major in Human-Computer Interaction and a minor in Computer Science. Erik was employed by Google. In the fall of 2019, Erik was accepted into the priestly formation program and began studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Franciscan University of Steubenville. After completing two years of pre-theology studies, Erik was assigned to begin theological studies at Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, PA. Following his second year of theology Erik was assigned to Divine Grace Parish, Cranberry, Ellwood City, Zelienople, PA, for his Pastoral Year assignment. In August 2024 he returned to Saint Vincent Seminary to begin his third year of theological studies. Erik was ordained to the diaconate on June 7, 2025, and assigned to Divine Grace Parish. He returned to Saint Vincent Seminary to begin his fourth and final year of theological studies in the fall of 2025.
Matt Selzer
Matthew Selzer graduated from North Hills High School in 2015. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication in 2019. Matthew was employed by the University of Pittsburgh as an office assistant with the Department of Bands. In the fall of 2019, Matt was accepted into the priestly formation program. After completing his pre-theology studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Franciscan University of Steubenville, Matt was assigned to Saint Mary Seminary, Baltimore, MD, to begin theological studies. Following his second year of theology Brian was assigned to Resurrection Parish, Bethel Park, Upper Saint Clair, PA, for his Pastoral Year assignment. In the fall of 2024, he returned to Saint Mary Seminary, to begin his third year of theological studies. Matt was ordained to the diaconate on June 7, 2025, and assigned to Resurrection Parish. He returned to Saint Mary Seminary to begin his fourth and final year of theological studies in the fall of 2025.
Van Loc Tran
Van Loc Tran comes from Vietnam where he graduated from Vinh University earning a bachelor’s degree in food technology. In spring 2019, Loc completed the ESL program at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. After completing two years of pre-theology studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Franciscan University of Steubenville, Loc was assigned to begin theological studies at Saint Mary Seminary, Baltimore, MD. Following his second year of theology Loc was assigned to Our Lady of Hope Parish, Bethel Park, South Park, Whitehall, PA, for his Pastoral Year assignment. Nick Wytiaz
Nicholas Wytiaz graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2006. He enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2012. Nick was employed by West Penn Hospital where he worked as a pharmacist. In fall 2019, Nick was accepted into the priestly formation program and began studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Franciscan University of Steubenville. After completing two years of pre-theology studies, Nick was assigned to begin theological studies at Saint Mary Seminary, Baltimore, MD. Following his second year of theology Nick was assigned to Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, Monroeville, Penn Hills, PA, for his Pastoral Year assignment. In August 2024 he returned to Saint Mary Seminary to begin his third year of theological studies. Nick was ordained to the diaconate on June 7, 2025, and assigned to Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish. He returned to Saint Mary Seminary to begin his final year of theological studies in the fall of 2025.
