Provides maintenance and repair service to buildings, facilities and property including semi-skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other minor repair work. May also perform specialized functions regarding equipment operations and boiler maintenance.To Apply:- High school degree or its equivalent.
- Some additional training in building trades and general maintenance.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in related field.
- Able to drive a pickup truck with automatic shift.
- Physical Exam
- Possess a valid PA driver’s license.
- Ability and means to travel between and among the four campuses in the parish grouping as needed.
- Proof of insurance that meets the minimum requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Building and Construction — Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
- Customer Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- English Language — Ability to communicate using the English language, including understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, understanding information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences, and speaking so others will understand.
- Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Essential Duties - Identify maintenance problems.
- Maintain inventories/records as directed.
- Maintain and repair equipment.
- Monitor inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Operate equipment and machinery such as generators, boilers, and air conditioners, locking devices, utility systems and power tools.
- Operate small truck or van.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, heating and carpentry and light construction assignments.
- Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties, including windows and light fixtures.
- Pickup and deliver materials, donations, articles, equipment, and furniture.
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs., must be able to climb a ladder and stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Provide groundskeeping services such as landscaping and ice/snow removal.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Respond to inspection of buildings regarding health, safety and security conditions.
- Set up and clean-up for special events.
