Job Title: Faith Formation Administrative Assistant Location: Ss. Martha and Mary Parish Reports To: Gary Roney, Director of Faith Formation and Family Ministry About the Role: Ss. Martha and Mary Parish is seeking a detail-oriented and organized part-time Administrative Assistant to support our Faith Formation program. This role is essential for managing registration, sacramental preparation, attendance tracking, record keeping, and coordinating events for children and youth faith formation. Key Responsibilities:
Manage registration for Faith Formation programs and maintain accurate student records
Prepare and organize materials for Orientation, retreats, and sacramental events (First Communion, Confirmation)
Collect, verify, and file Baptismal Certificates and other sacramental documentation
Record attendance and track completion of sessions and service requirements
Assist with special events, sacramental logistics, and parish activities
Provide administrative support to staff, catechists, and volunteers
Communicate effectively with families, parishioners, and other parishes
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years of clerical or office experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with parish database systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of Roman Catholic teachings, sacraments, and diocesan policies
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with volunteers and families
