Peter and Paul School Extended Day Assistant Group Supervisor M-F 2:30pm-5:00pm Job Summary: The Extended Day Assistant Group Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the school’s after-school program, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all students. This role includes supervising students, planning age-appropriate activities, supporting homework assistance, and maintaining clear communication with families and school leadership. The Extended Day Assistant Group Supervisor upholds the mission and values of the school while fostering positive relationships, promoting student well-being, and ensuring compliance with all school and state guidelines. Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of the Extended Day Program, ensuring student safety and well-being. ● Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that support academic, social, and personal growth. ● Provide guidance and supervision for program staff and volunteers. ● Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and program documentation in compliance with school and state requirements. ● Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school leadership regarding student participation, behavior, and program updates. ● Support students with homework and provide academic and enrichment opportunities. ● Ensure proper use of facilities and materials, maintaining a safe and orderly environment. ● Enforce school policies and program procedures consistently and fairly. Qualifications: ● Assistant Group Supervisor: An assistant group supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels: ● (1) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. ● (2) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training. ● (3) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. ● (4) A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum. ● (5) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years of experience with children. ● Completed safe environment training, background check, and all diocesan clearances.
