Catechetical Leaders Explore Lumen Gentium

For three weeks in June and early July, a group of parish catechetical leaders gathered in a small discipleship group at the Pastoral Center to explore the Second Vatican Council document Lumen Gentium. The group arose in response to Pope Francis’s request for the Jubilee Year. Pope Francis had asked that the Church reacquaint ourselves with the teachings and the documents of Vatican II. In the Lumen Gentium group, participants not only studied the document, but engaged in meaningful prayer, community, and action.
