Coordinator of Latino Marriage and Family Ministry Résumés are now being accepted for the position of Coordinator of Latino Marriage and Family Ministry. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located at various parishes within the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This position is responsible for providing evangelization, catechesis, and support for the Latino community in the areas of marriage and family ministry.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION:•Bachelor’s degree in theology, evangelization, pastoral ministry, or related field. EXPERIENCE:•Minimum of three (3) years of evangelization and ministry experience with the Latino community.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:•Theological and catechetical knowledge. •Effective written and oral communication skills. •Proven competencies in evangelization with knowledge of the related foundational / vision documents and principles. •Bilingual in Spanish and English. •Ability to facilitate effective meetings and group processes. •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. Proficient in online meeting platforms.
ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Meet with and provide support for families experiencing challenges / stress in their lives with a pastoral approach. •Meet with and provide pastoral support and resources for couples experiencing difficulties in their married life. •Help couples not in a sacramental marriage to begin the process to allow this. •Organize and provide catechesis in Theology of the Body and Natural Family Planning (NFP) for the Latino community. •Organize and provide classes in effective parenting skills for Latino parents. •Plan and coordinate retreats on various topics regarding marriage and family ministry for the Latino community.
