Before & After School Care assistant, Mother of Mercy Academy, Whitehall (Pittsburgh)

SRCES Mother of Mercy Academy is seeking a Before & After School Care assistant   3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday.  
 
Job Summary: 
The After School Care assistant position is responsible for the well-being and safety of the children who utilize the program under the direction of the Before & After Care Director. It should be a creative, friendly, and energetic environment for the children.  
 
Duties:

• Assist children in starting their homework
• Pass out an after-school snack
• Record the pick-up time of each parent/guardian for each individual child
• Supervise play
• Tidy and clean up the room at the end of each night
• Other duties to be assigned by the school principal   

 
Qualifications:  

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Completed safe environment training and background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid PA Driver's License  

 
Job Requirements: 

• Friendly, energetic, and nurturing personality  
• Ability to work with children ages 4 and up  
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and parents
