South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools - Cafeteria Cook at John F. Kennedy Job Description: We are seeking a part-time cafeteria cook position, weekdays from 8 am to 1 pm, to prepare, cook, and serve lunches to our students. The position will involve working with our cafeteria manager and volunteers to serve consistent and nutritious meals to students and staff in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth while helping to advance the mission and vision of South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools. Duties: ● Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic mission of SRCES by speaking and acting consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. ● Responsible for the daily preparation and cooking of the food for the lunches. ● Responsible for serving the food to the students. ● Works under the School Cafeteria Supervisor. ● Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and assist in the daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils. ● Maintain a good working relationship with parents, students, and other staff and faculty. ● Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. ● Has regular and predictable attendance. ● Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: ● 21 years of age ● High school diploma or GED ● Valid PA Driver's License ● Safe Environments for Children - As with all positions that involve contact with children in the Diocese of Pittsburgh: This ministry falls under the diocese's Safe Environment Policy, which requires clearances, i.e., criminal and child abuse history, fingerprinting, a Protecting God’s Children attendance certificate, and a signed copy of the Code of Pastoral Conduct.
